On New Years Day City moved level with Premier League leaders Chelsea but no set their eyes on success in the F.A.Cup. City have reached the final twice in the last four seasons,lifting the trophy once. Sheffield Wednesday are City's third round opponents,a team they have already beaten at home this season 7=-0 in the Capital One Cup. The Owls’ most recent appearance in a final came in 1993, when they were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal in a replay. City manager Pellegrini has expressed the importance of the F.A.Cup."For our team it is a very important cup. We are eliminated from the League Cup so we will continue in the FA Cup as far as we can. I am very happy with the way we are playing; we have so many injured players but we arrange it in different ways to continue winning."

City head in to 2015 knowing they have to be more ruthless after dropping points in our last game against Burnley. With Chelsea already only managing a score draw at Southampton City could of closed the gap on leaders but let a 2 goal lead slip in Sunday's game at Eastlands. Sunderland on the other hand are the league's draw specialist. Out of nineteen games this season, the Black Cats have ended up with eleven draws and only lost twive in the last 10 games.

With Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic all still missing Pellegrini will have to juggle his options upfrony once again for the boxing day fixture with West Brom. City though go into this fixture with eight straight wins behind them. The Baggies have enjoyed an upturn in their performances as well, although they will be bitterly disappointed to have slumped to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Queens Park Rangers last time out.

City strolled to their eighth straight victory on saturday atEastlands against Crystal Palace despite having no first choice strikers available. Milner was given the No 9 role because of injuries to Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic, but Silva provided the knockout punch with two quick-fire goals after 49 and 61 minutes following a stalemate first half. The win left City on 39 points,level with leaders Chelsea.

Frank Lampard scored City's winner in the 1-0 win at Leicester City's Filbert Street. The victory cam at a cost though with two more injuries to an already injury ravaged squad. Edin Dzeko pulled up in the warm-up and was replaced by 18-year-old Jose Pozo in the starting lineup. Captain Vincent Kompany then limped off in the second half with an apparent hamstring injury.

Last night City put in a masterful performance on their big night in Rome. They performed what some said was impossible. After being written of by many City went into the game needing a win or a score draw and the right result in the Bayern v CSKA fixture. The fact we were missing key players in Aguro,Toure and Kompany made the task ahead look even harder. But as the song go's "Were Man City,We fight to the end".

City will come into this game full of confidence having gained 13 points from a possible 15 in their last five Premier League outings. City lie in second place, six points behind leaders Chelsea. Everton have committed more individual errors leading to goals than than any other team this season. Those errors must cease, especially when a rampant Sergio Aguero spearheads the City attack this Saturday.

Edin Dzeko who limped off the pitch at QPR shortly after entering the pitch as a sub will miss Bosnia-Herzegovina's European Championship qualifer against Israel and several City matches. In fact Dzeko will be out for at least three weeks.
